Forrest Estate 2000 Sauvignon Blanc

The best way I can describe this wine is "classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc." Forrest Estate occupies a prime location between the town of Renwick and the Wairau River. Grapes grown under ideal conditions and crafted by skilled a winemaker.

Classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc: A vibrant, tropical fruit nose. Bright, upfront flavors flavors of gooseberry and citrus. Pleasant from attack to finish with no rough edges. A clean aftertaste that leaves you looking forward to the next sip. At US$16 in DC, this wine is highly recommended. My only regret is that I didn't have a dish of steamed mussels to serve with it.
