The Mills Reef Winery is located in the Bay of Plenty region but the grapes for this wine were sourced from Hawke's Bay. It is a rich, gold color with a nose that is pure Chardonnay grape. Delicate citrus on the palate and a touch of oak.

Price in the DC area was US$19. This wine does not have the structure to go up against a fully integrated California Chard but its not going to cost that much either. A decent value in the mid-price range.
